DAY 1 · ARRIVAL IN MUNICH, STUTTGART OR ZURICH

DAY 2 · AUTOBAHN & GERMAN ALPINE ROAD

Begin with Germany’s famous Autobahn, including unrestricted sections where traffic and conditions allow. Then trade the highway for the German Alpine Road, winding through traditional Bavarian villages and mountain scenery. The flowing bends of the Oberjoch Pass lead toward Schwangau, where you’ll spend the night below Neuschwanstein Castle.

DAY 3 · NEUSCHWANSTEIN, AUSTRIAN TYROL & LAKE CONSTANCE

Start with a guided visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, before continuing through the Bavarian Alps and into the Austrian Tyrol for lunch. Enjoy mountain views and scenic country roads as you travel west toward Lake Constance, then continue to Sigmaringen, beneath its imposing riverside castle.

DAY 4 · AUTOBAHN & PORSCHE & MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUMS

Another rewarding Autobahn stretch brings you to Stuttgart for a journey through Germany’s automotive heritage. Explore the Porsche Museum and Mercedes-Benz Museum, from pioneering designs to celebrated racing machines. Continue to the spa-town of Baden-Baden for an evening of refined dining and a stroll through the elegant spa town.

DAY 5 · BLACK FOREST HIGH ROAD & HOHENZOLLERN CASTLE

Drive the Black Forest High Road, where sweeping bends open onto forested hills and panoramic viewpoints. Pause beside Lake Mummelsee or enjoy coffee overlooking the surrounding countryside. Depending on your chosen route, add a visit to Hohenzollern Castle before returning to your starting city.

UNWIND IN BADEN-BADEN [MAR–NOV] Thermal baths, elegant gardens and leisurely dining

Take a relaxed day away from the driving seat in Baden-Baden. Enjoy the town’s thermal baths or unwind in your hotel spa, then stroll through the leafy Lichtentaler Allee. A leisurely lunch, boutique shopping and time to explore the Old Town complete an elegant pause in your journey.

AUSTRIAN ALPINE PASSES [JUN-OCT] Hahntennjoch and Fern Pass — a scenic Alpine driving loop

Stay a second night near Neuschwanstein Castle and enjoy a rewarding loop into the Austrian Alps. Follow the winding Hahntennjoch Pass through rugged mountain scenery, then return via the Fern Pass, with time for scenic stops along the way. A full day of Alpine driving before another relaxed evening at the same hotel.

Is the Porsche Museum open every day?

The Porsche Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays. We plan your museum visit accordingly.

Can we drive on the Nürburgring during this tour?

Rental cars are not permitted on race tracks, including the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The circuit is well outside this itinerary. If you wish to visit separately, track driving would need to be arranged independently with a specialist provider such as Rent4Ring.

Are factory or production plant tours included?

Factory tours are not included, as access and availability are limited, and reservations can be difficult to secure. Instead, this tour focuses on outstanding automotive museums, which fit naturally into the itinerary and can be explored at your own pace.

How much luggage can we bring on this round trip?

We recommend soft-sided bags, especially for supercars. A Porsche 911 can fit up to four suitably sized carry-ons—two in the front compartment and two in the rear-seat area. Leave larger suitcases at your starting hotel and collect them on your return. On longer tours, hotel laundry can usually be arranged during multi-night stays.
