DAY 2: MEDITERRANEAN COAST TO THE PRINCIPALITY OF ANDORRA
After a day and night at the vibrant city of Barcelona, a culturally rich destination with sand beaches and mind-blowing architecture your route is taking you trough the picture perfect Catalan countryside into the rugged Spanish Pyrenees.
This section is undoubtedly one of the best driving routes anywhere in Europe and will never fail to impress you.
During the second leg of your drive, the mountain roads of the Pyrenean Axis Route will take you into Andorra. The tiny, independent nation is situated between France and Spain in the Pyrenees mountains.
Along your route we have planned a few stops to make the Pyrenees Drive a relaxed experience, but always focused on the most scenic route.

DAY 3: PYRENEAN AXIS DRIVING ROUTE INTO FRANCE
After a good night sleep and your breakfast continue your driving adventure over the Pyrenean Axis Route, even deeper into the fantastic mountain scenery.
Here on top of the Pyrenees mountains, shortly before the French-Spanish border, lies an extraordinary mountain pass.
Normally the mountain passes in the Alps get all of the love, but this pass crossing the Pyrenees will remind you to that Spain has a lot more to offer than sandy beaches.
Once you completed the pass, you will leave Spain behind yo and reach Tour de France territory. The fantastic roads will take you to your wonderful hotel in France.

DAY 4: SCENIC ROADS OF FRANCE INTO NAVARRA, SPAIN
Today's scenery will change dramatically: from the alpine feel of the French Pyrenees with its countless mountain passes you will drive into the semi-dessert landscapes in the south east of Navarre in Spain.
Between those two extremes, the landscape is dominated by Portuguese oaks, beech and pine woods which herald the proximity of Navarre and the Pyrenees at the same time.
On your way stop for various historic sights, castles and hilltop towns and drive one of the very few lake roads of the region.

DAY 5: BASQUE COUNTRY AND THE ATLANTIC COAST DRIVE
From the dry lands of Navarra take what is arguably Spain's most scenic highway with fast changes of landscapes into the lush green woods of the Basque Country all the way to the Atlantic Coast.
Loop briefly back into France to drive along the famous Corniche Route and to enjoy lunch at Biarritz; an absolute favourite beach getaway since Napoléon III.
In the later afternoon you will reach San Sebastián in the Basque Country, framed by golden beaches and lush hillsides. The undeniable allure, from its venerable dining scene to its grand architecture will make you want to stay more then just one night in the sea-side town at the Atlantic Coast.
